I know that the Supreme Court has taken up the right questions, removing the disparity of separate High Courts unlike the shifting onus between Center vs State on an administrative level.
India continues to be home to 313 million illiterate people; 59 percent of them being women, not able to use a smart phone website or application.
When the Supreme Court asked, “How will the Centre ensure registration for vaccines for illiterate people and those without internet access as registration through Co-Win is mandatory in the third phase of vaccination?”, I wondered if it was a rhetoric question?
क्या यह एक बयान-बाजी का सवाल था? I don’t know.
But I know a fact:
All of us literate people who can read, have at least one of these people: maids, milkman, drivers or security guards and that all of us have 4 member per user registration.
If we have individual registration option for our family members,
– and we all include one illiterate person per phone no.,
– schedule an appointment for them and
– give them the registration print out
We can afford a paid vaccine and a secure, clean home.
They work for us, we can work for them.
